  1. Reblogged this on Trish Hopkinson and commented:
I’ve been asked by a few people now for a list of contests for published poetry books, so thanks to Bernadette Geyer for putting one together! These contests do have entry fees, as most do, but they also have sizable awards. If you have a poetry book published by a press, these may be something you want to consider.

    1. Hi Rocky,
If you keep scrolling down below the info about the fiction prize, you will also see the poetry prize info listed. It’s a little confusing that way, but the info is definitely there.
      Best,
      Bernadette

  2. Hi

Just a quick email to ask if you’d be interested in exchanging links with us?

After 14 years running the International Welsh Poetry Competition – http://www.welshpoetry.co.uk which we’ve built into the biggest and most well-respected poetry contest in Wales we have now launched a new contest aimed at small presses, indie writers and self published poets:

    Poetry Book Awards – http://www.poetrybookawards.co.uk

We offer cash prizes and the top three winning books will be sent to Carcanet Press, one of the UK’s biggest and best poetry publishers.

We will of course link back but anything you can do to help us promote the awards is much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Dave Lewis

    1. Thanks, Shutta! I will go through the list this week to check the info. Was there something in particular you found wrong, or do you know of another contest that should be on this list?
      Thanks!

  3. Thank you for this list! One note: the Debu-Litzer was run by Late Night Library in Portland, OR, and they shut down a few years ago. The link you have up for them takes you to a Russian website.

  4. I have an anthology of 100 poems by me published in February 2021 by Bluerose Publishers, New Delhi.
Can you please send me relevant & exclusive list for poetry only published by an Indian (me) without any cost to me on my e-mail?
I am 65 now and my book is titled REFLECTIONS OF LIFE and is available on AMAZON/ FLIPKART & BLUEROSE PUBLISHERS online platforms. All these poems I have poured in my entire being and personally feel & believe should get some recognition at some point of time.
Please respond back suitably. Shall be obliged. R.N.TAGORE, PUNE (INDIA).

    1. Hi Raneshnath,
Unfortunately, I do not offer a specialized consulting service for poets. Please check out this list here, see which would be appropriate for you, and apply accordingly. Perhaps you could find a virtual assistant who could help you with the service you require. I only leave this list here for others to use as they wish.
      Kind regards,
      Bernadette

    1. Hi Bonnie – we just cleaned up a bunch of the links that were outdated. Thanks! Also, the awards are listed in deadline order, starting with the beginning of the year. If you see a listing that is incorrect, let us know which specifically. 🙂
